Service
About this service
Apple devices are thin and densely built: many parts are glued together or soldered directly to the logic board. That is why the right diagnosis, the right part and the right disassembly technique matter as much as the repair itself. In our workshop we handle everything on MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini, from diagnostics and part replacement to board-level repair.
For repairs that need a part, we can source genuine Apple parts. We also offer quality compatible parts to suit your budget and explain the difference between the two (quality, compatibility and price) before the repair. The choice is always yours.
Smod Home is an independent repair service; we are not an Apple Authorised Service Provider. This means we can save your device not only by replacing parts but, when needed, by repairing it at board level.

What we do
How it works
-
01
Tell us about the problem
Describe your device and the issue through the service request form, by phone, WhatsApp or Viber. A photo or a short video speeds up the first assessment.
-
02
We examine the device
You bring the device to our workshop in Tivat, or send it by courier. We find the cause based on measurements, tests and, when needed, opening the device — not on guesswork.
-
03
We explain your options
We tell you clearly what is faulty, which solutions are possible, the price and the time needed. Whether to go ahead is entirely your decision.
-
04
We repair and test
After your approval we carry out the repair and test the device before handing it back. We explain what we did when you collect it.
Good to know
- We tell you the difference and the price between a genuine Apple part and a quality compatible part before the repair.
- For screen, battery or keyboard repairs we don't touch your storage. Still, we recommend backing up important data before any service.
- Some repairs may require ordering a part; in that case we tell you the timeline before placing the order.
- Bringing the device with its charger makes the diagnosis easier.
Frequently asked questions
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
Yes, we can source genuine Apple parts. You can also choose a more affordable quality compatible part. We explain the difference before the repair.
Are you an Apple authorised service?
No, we are an independent repair service. This means we are not limited to swapping parts and can also repair at board level when needed.
Which models do you work on?
MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini with Intel and Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4 series) processors.
Will my data still be there after the repair?
For repairs such as screen, battery or keyboard we don't touch your storage. If storage or logic board work is needed, we tell you in advance and discuss backup options with you.
How long does a repair take?
It depends on the fault and whether the part is in stock. After the diagnosis we give you a clear timeline.
My device won't turn on at all — can I still bring it?
Yes. When a device won't power on, the cause is often in the charging circuit or on the logic board. After the diagnosis we tell you clearly whether a repair is possible.
